The message "File download failed. Please check your Internet connection, wait a while, and then execute the OS Upgrade Utility again." appears at execution of "OS Upgrade Utility", despite the network is connected.

Answer

By the changes in the configuration of the server security "OS Upgrade Utility" reffers, file downloading using the application will be failed, depending on the PC.
To resolve this problem, try the procedures below.

Procedure 1
  1. Check the network connection.
  2. Access "https://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/itn/".

    * When Internet Explorer can't connect that page, check "Use TLS 1.1" and "Use TLS 1.2" in Internet Options in Internet Explorer.

  3. If step 2 is succeeded, execute the "OS Upgrade Utility" again.

Procedure 2
 If the problem is not resolved by Procedure 1, try the procedure below.
  1. Download the following registry modification file on the PC.
     » Registry Modification File
  2. Double-click the downloaded file.
  3. At [User Account Control] screen, click [Yes].
  4. When the command prompt window appears, wait until "success." appears on the window.
  5. Close the command prompt window.
  6. Execute the "OS Upgrade Utility" again.

Procedure 3
 For Windows 8.1, follow the steps below.

 For 64bit OS：
  1. Make sure you are connected to the internet.
  2. "https://www.microsoft.com/download/ja-jp/details.aspx?familyid=b191919e-53d5-4510-aa35-b316f90c6c28"
    Access the above URL and download "Windows8-RT-KB2898849-x64.msu".
  3. Execute the downloaded "Windows8-RT-KB2898849-x64.msu".
  4. Execute the application again.

 For 32bit OS：
  1. Make sure you are connected to the internet.
  2. "https://www.microsoft.com/download/ja-jp/details.aspx?familyid=b191919e-53d5-4510-aa35-b316f90c6c28"
    Access the above URL and download "Windows8-RT-KB2898849-x86.msu".
  3. Execute the downloaded "Windows8-RT-KB2898849-x86.msu".
  4. Execute the application again.
