UWP application such as "Panasonic PC Recovery Disc Creation Utility", the program name is [unknown program] on the confirmation screen of User Account Control when starting up.

If "Panasonic Corporation" is displayed on the confirmed issuer on the screen of "Do you want this application to make changes to the device?", since there is no problem proceed please by press "yes" in the user account control window and proceed to.

[BitLocker]
Can not input with the USB keyboard at the time setting PIN with Bitlocker when after shutting down or hibernation.

When encryption with Bitlocker is set to enter PIN code at startup, For Keyboard mounted models, use the keyboard of the main unit.
For Tablet model, set the BIOS password and enable BIOS password input when starting up / restoring, or enable the Soft keyboard Support for Bitlocker with BIOS-setup "security".

[Bluetooth]
When connecting Bluetooth keyboard, if enter wrong PIN twice, the new PIN will be never displayed.

After connection operation repeatedly, "Enter the PIN for Bluetooth Keyboard." message and input field will be displayed.
Input arbitrary digits and click [Connect], and enter the same digits to your Bluetooth Keyboard, the connection will be done.

The brightness is low when start PC.

[DisplayLink]
If you connect an external monitor to HDMI / DisplayPort / VGA port on peripheral devices(cradle, keyboard base, etc.) and set display mode to "Second screen only", applications using OpenGL may not be displayed properly.

Please switch display mode to "Duplicate" or "Extend".

When connect external display, and change Project state or Resume from Hibernation or Shutdown, external display will not be shown and internal display will blink.

It will be recovered by one of below methods.

- 20mk1, 20mk2, 33mk1 : Detach Tablet and attach Tablet to Keyboard Base.
- Portreplicator model : Detach from portreplicator and attach to portreplicator.
- common method : Change power state to sleep (ex. use power button), and resume.

Desktop screen can't be shown automatically when you enable Single Sign-On of Fingerprint Authentication(EVE FA Standalone) and start PC with Fingerprint Authentication.
The lock screen and the sign-in screen can be canceled by key operation or mouse operation.

For the issue that desktop screen can't be shown automatically, please execute one of the following below.

Measure 1: Key input or mouse click is needed to pass the lock screen and the sign-in screen.
Measure 2: Disable the function to speed up the Windows sign-in process. If user wants to disable this function, please execute the following step: Click (Start button) at the bottom of left corner, click [Settings] - [Account] - [Sign in options] - "Use my sign in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update or restart" and then click "Turn off" button.

Note: This option isn't available if your device is joined to a domain.

Connect external HDMI / VGA monitors, setting may end when setting Multiple displays is switched.

If you missed setting once, open the setting again and switch the display destination of multiple display.For keyboard-equipped models, you can also switch using [Fn] + [F3].

A password input window, which appears when you insert a USB memory encrypted by BitLockerToGo, closes by touch operation to show software keyboard.
Therefore you can't input a password.

  1. Show a software keyboard first, then insert a USB memory.

  2. You can show a password input window again by the following each operations.

    2-1. Tap [Control Panel] - [System and Security]. And then, tap "Unlock drive" in "Bit Locker Drive Encryption".

    2-2. Open "Explorer" and tap "USB drive".

Num Lock may become enable automatically on BitLocker PIN input screen even if Num Lock is disabled when you start your PC.

If Num Lock LED is lighted, unlock with Num Lock Button manually.

Touch keyboard can't be shown after execute the following steps.

[1] From [Settings]

  1. Click (Start button) at the bottom left corner, and then click [Settings] - [Update & security] - [Recovery].

  2. Click [Get Started] under "Reset this PC".

  3. Click "Keep my files".

  4. Execute Reset by following the on-screen instructions.

[2] From [Windows Recovery Environment]

  1. Click (Start button) at the bottom left corner, and then click [Settings] - [Update & security] - [Recovery].

  2. Click [Restart Now] under "Advanced startup".

  3. Click [Troubleshoot] after PC restart.

  4. Click [Reset this PC].

  5. Click "Keep my files".

  6. Execute Reset by following the on-screen instructions.

Make [Show touch keyboard button] enable in the menu shown by Right-Clicking taskbar.

After performed the following operations, "This app can’t open. Check the Windows Store for more info about xxxxx (application name)." error may occur.

  1. Click (Start button) at the bottom left corner, click [Settings] - [Update & Security] - [Recovery], and then click [Restart now] in "Advanced startup".

  2. On "Choose an option", click [Troubleshoot] - [Advanced options] - [System Restore].

  3. Launch the UWP application.

By trying to launch the UWP application again, you can launch it.

The UWP application may not be restored after execute the following operations.

  1. Uninstall the UWP application.

  2. Click (Start button) at the bottom left corner, click [Settings] - [Update & Security] - [Recovery], and then click [Restart now] in "Advanced startup".

  3. On "Choose an option", click [Troubleshoot] - [Advanced options] - [System Restore] and start System Restore.

  4. After that, select restore point that was created before 1, and execute System Restore.

Download and install the UWP application from the Microsoft Store.

14 All models

After performed the following operations, an error may occur and the application can’t be uninstalled.

  1. Uninstall the desktop application.

  2. Click (Start button) at the bottom left corner, click [Settings] - [Update & Security] - [Recovery], and then click [Restart now] in "Advanced startup".

  3. On "Choose an option", click [Troubleshoot] - [Advanced options] - [System Restore] and start System Restore.

  4. After that, select restore point that was created before 1, and execute System Restore.

  5. Uninstall the desktop application same as 1.

"System Restore" function has the restriction.
Some files (example: .cab file) may not be restored.

If the necessary files were not restored, the error may occur while the uninstallation.

If you want to uninstall the application, contact the application vendor.

Tiles may not exist in Start Menu.

These tiles are for applications in left side of Start Menu, or applications recommended by Microsoft.

Even if this phenomenon occurs, you can use applications without any problems.

You can download applications recommended by Microsoft through the Microsoft Store.

If you need, pin to Start Menu.

After performed the following operations, one or both of WiFi and Bluetooth may not return to ON.

  1. Confirm WiFi and Bluetooth are On.

  2. Turn on "Airplane mode" from the tile in the Action Center.

  3. Confirm WiFi and Bluetooth have been turned off.

  4. Turn off the hardware wireless switch.

  5. Wait for a while and then turn on the hardware wireless switch.

Please turn WiFi and Bluetooth individually from Network icon on the Task Bar or the Action Center.

When connect external display and set mode to duplicate mode, notification will not be displayed even if execute [Fn] + [F9] (display Battery Level), or other operation to display notifications.

Open Focus assist settings (Click (Start button) at the bottom left corner, and then click [Settings] - [System] - [Focus Assist]) and follow below procedure.

If "When I'm duplicating my display" of Automatic rules is [On], set [Off] to "When I'm duplicating my display" setting, or set [Focus assist] to [Off] to display notifications.

Touch the screen twice to display the software keyboard.

If you click "No" on the "Connect now to save time later" screen after selecting the languages other than the first selected language (OOBE), return to the step "Now let's get you connected to a network" after reboot.

Please press "Yes" on the "Connect now to save time later" screen. Or press "No" and restart it, but if you press "No" again as it is, you can proceed ahead.

Part of the Windows 10 startup does not work, some software may not start up and [Fn] + [F7], [F9], [F10] may not work after power on or restarting PC in rare cases.

[Panasonic PC Camera Utility]
The OCR function of "Panasonic PC Camera Utility" may not be available depending on the language.

Please download the optional feature (optical character recognition) by the following procedure.

  1. Click (Start button) at the bottom left corner, and then click [Settings] - [Time & language] - [Region & language].

  2. Open [Options] of language used.

  3. If the following window is displayed, please wait for a while until the [Download] button is displayed.

  4. Push [Download]button of [Basic typing].

Note: OCR feature can't be used in some languages which Windows doesn't support OCR feature.

Printer driver is not installed when registering vendor printer via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The printer is registered with "Driver is unavailable" status, printer can not be used.

After registering the printer, please perform Windows Update. The printer driver will be installed automatically. If it is not installed by Windows Update, install the driver attached to the printer or obtain the printer driver from the printer manufacturer's web site.

Some wireless devices may not be displayed in the airplane mode after reboot, or after boot from full shutdown or fast shutdown.

Once the airplane mode is turned on and turned off again, the device will be displayed.

[Windows Hello]
After Windows Hello face authentication set up, the face authentication may not be started at startup from restart or complete shutdown.

Face authentication will be started by execute below steps.

1. Slide up lock screen and click "Sign-in options"
2. Click face icon.

If "Sorry something went wrong." message is displayed, please wait a few seconds and please click Windows Hello face icon again.
