This software is intended to update the Wireless LAN driver and Bluetooth driver of the target models.

Reason for Update

  • The modification of the Intel WLAN driver against the issue of Wi-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2) vulnerability (KRACKs).
  • The modification of vulnerability when installing Intel wireless driver and related software.   * 2018/5/10 Added
  • The modification of Bluetooth pairing vulnerability.   * 2018/7/31 Added
  • We released the counter measure driver for the following vulnerabilities.

Notes

  • Updating Wireless LAN driver will reset the advanced properties of Wireless LAN device in device manager to the factory default settings.
    (For example, 802.11a will return to disabled.)
    If the settings have been changed from factory default, please change them again after updating the driver.
  • Before updating Bluetooth driver, please delete pairing for Bluetooth devices.
    After updating Bluetooth driver, you need to pair Bluetooth devices again.
  • When updating Wireless LAN driver and Bluetooth driver, please connect AC Adaptor and fully charged battery.
  • Updating Wireless LAN driver will remove Cisco Compatible eXtensions(CCX) component.
