Notes

  • Panasonic Software Development Kit(SDK) is referred to as Toughbook SDK.
  • Toughbook SDK for CF-20 (mk1/mk2), CF-33 (mk1/mk2), CF-54 (mk2/mk3), CF-D1 (mk3), FZ-40 (mk1), FZ-55 (mk1/mk2), FZ-G1 (mk4/mk5), FZ-G2 (mk1), FZ-M1 (mk2/mk3).
  • Supports Windows 10 64bit and Windows 11 64bit.
  • Contains libraries to integrate Panasonic hardware such as Barcode reader, Magnetic stripe (MagStripe) reader, GPS, Camera light and UHF RFID into 3rd party applications.
  • Toughbook Software Development Kit (SDK) for the target models.
  • Toughbook SDK requires Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
  • Toughbook SDK installer does not include Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
    Please install it individually.
  • If you are building a 32bit application, prepare Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library (32bit).
  • V3.00L10 M40 does not support Magnetic Stripe Reader and UHF RFID, so please use the conventional V3.00L10 M00 when using.
  • APIs and sample application for UWP are only working on Windows 10.
  • Please use Windows 10 for development of UWP applications with Toughbook SDK.

Reason for Update

- May 30, 2023 : Fixed a bug that caused an abnormal termination when using a barcode

scanner on some models.

- Sep 27, 2022 : Added new model support FZ-40[A/B/C/D] (mk1), FZ-55[D/E/F] (mk2),

FZ-G2[A/B/C/D] (mk1).
Support for Windows 7 ends because Microsoft has ended support for Windows 7.

- Mar 30, 2021 : Added new model support FZ-55 (mk1) and CF-33 (mk2).

- Nov   6, 2018 : Revised the SDK module.

- Aug 28, 2018 : Added new model support FZ-G1[U/V/W] (mk5) and FZ-M1[G/J] (mk3).

Added the feature of changing sound file to Barcode API.

- Jan 23, 2018 : Added new model support CF-20[E/F/G/H].

- Sep 13, 2017 : Added new camera light API for UWP application and sample code.
