Question
Cannot record with headset's microphone.
Answer
When connecting a headset to the PC, a software which is used to record the sound may record the sound with internal microphone instead of the microphone on the headset.
Some software record the sound with internal microphone even if the default recording device is switched to the microphone on the headset.
In this case, follow the steps described below to change the setting to tie up the internal microphone and microphone on the headset.
1) | Run "Realtek HD Audio Manager" by double clicking the red speaker icon on the notification area(task tray). |
2) | Click [Device advanced settings]. |
3) | Add a checkmark to [Tie up same type of input jacks, i.e. line-in or microphone, as an input device.] and click [OK]. |
