Installation procedure

  1. Download the utility program listed on this page.
  2. Extract the downloaded file according to the following procedures.
  1. Double-click the downloaded file.
  2. At [User Account Control] screen, click [Yes].
  3. When the license agreement appears, read it carefully, and then click [Yes(Y)].
  4. The [Destination Location] screen appears. Usually you don’t need to change the destination location.
    Click [OK].
  5. The folder appears when extracting finishes. Close the folder. (wait for a while depending on download size.)

Cautions

  1. Even if you have already downloaded the "Recovery Disc Creation Utility (Recovery Image Downloading Edition)" V1, you must download the "Recovery Disc Creation Utility (Recovery Image Downloading Edition)" V2.
    You can't download the recovery image with Utility V1 after January 15, 2019.
  2. The size of the recovery data is very large. So we strongly recommend that you use a flat-rate broadband line. Note that the data transfer costs will be borne by the customer.
  3. It takes for a long time to download the recovery data. So we recommend that you shouldn’t do other operation while downloading.
  4. Keep connecting your computer to a power outlet during the operation.Close all other applications, do not Restart, Shutdown the computer or put it into Stand By or Hibernate mode.
  5. Confirm “precautions” before operation. The target computer of installation needs to be preparation such as creation of the Windows 7 recovery media.
  6. The tool requires “.NET Framework 4.5 (or later)” to be installed. For more Information how to install “.NET Framework”, refer to 4.1 Installation “.NET Framework”.
