When you insert a smart card, the BSOD may occur.

Answer

In the following operation, the computer may not recognize a smart card and the BSOD may occur.(1) Install "Gemalto USB Smart Card reader" from Windows Update(2) Go into the hibernation due to critical battery level (factory default 5%).(3) After resuming the hibernation, insert a smart card This problem is caused by a smart card reader driver installed from Windows Update.Please do not install "Gemalto USB Smart Card reader" from Windows Update.If you installed it, please roll back to the default driver in the following procedure.Device Manager > Smart card readers > USB Smart Card Reader > Driver Tab > Click "Roll Back Driver" button * After rolling back, the name of "USB Smart Card Reader" will change to "Microsoft Usbccid Smart Card Reader(WUDF).
