[TOUGHPAD] FZ-X1 System Softwares "version: tcd_tough-12-01-003-023" OS Version Updates from Android™4.2.2 to Android™5.1.1 Update Latest

This document describes how to update Software of FZ-X1 from internal storage.

[Preparation]
 Use PC for the software update.

1. Download the update Software file from the download site to PC.
2. Connect FZ-X1 and PC with USB cable.
   Please refer to following "Referential Document: FZ-X1 ADB USB Driver".
3. After FZ-X1 has been recognized by PC as media storage, save the update Software file to "Download" folder of the internal storage of FZ-X1.
   Note* If more than one files are stored in "Download" folder,
   "Two or more software is stored in the "Download" folder." message appears, and update is not available.

1. Apply the Google Security Patches (Include security patch against BlueBorne and WiFi vulnerability)
2. Fix the issue that NFC does not be responded on some condition.

• If the software version (build number) of your FZ-X1 does not correspond to "System Softwares OS Version Updates", please perform the system update.

• In firmware version, can't be downgraded from "after tcd_tough-12-01-003-023" to "tcd_tough-12-01-003-021".

• You can update the software while leaving data such as camera images, e-mails, and downloaded data registered to this device. However, the data may not be protected depending on the status of your unit.
  We recommend that you back up your important data.
• If you perform a version update. you cannot revert to a previous version of Android.
• Applications compatible with old OS versions may not work properly.
  Performing a version update will reset some settings. Please configure them again.
• If the tablet is encrypted, a screen for inputting a password for decryption is displayed when restarting after the rewriting process. You must input the decryption password.
